Obituary of Doris Hubbard-Sprecher

   Doris Hubbard-Sprecher, 94, of Coleta died Sunday June 30, 2024 at Rock River Hospice & Home. Doris was born February 27, 1930 in Coleta the daughter of LaVerne and Mabel (Sanders) Frankfather.  She married Darrell Hubbard July 1, 1950 in Coleta. He preceded her in death February 9, 2006. She then married Wayne Sprecher on January 16, 2010. 

   Doris was a lifelong member of the Coleta United Brethren Church of Christ, where she was song leader for many years. She was the Coleta PostMaster for 25 years. 

   Survivors include three sons Don (Denise) Hubbard of Leaf River IL, Dan (Kathryn) Hubbard of Lone Tree CO, and Doug (Lori) Hubbard of Coleta IL; one daughter Dianna (Douglas) Johnson of Wheaton IL; Husband Wayne Sprecher and his children Steve (Jacquelyn) Sprecher of CA, Jim (Hope) Sprecher of WA, Jeff (Bonnie) Sprecher of MN, Julie Specher of IL, and Jodie (David) Searle of OH; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

   Doris was also preceded in death by her parents; husband Darrell; one brother Robert Frankfather; and great-grandson Levi Toelke.

   Funeral service will be 11AM Saturday July 13, 2024 at Coleta United Brethren Church in Christ, with Wilmer Houck, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at church from 10AM-11AM. Burial will take place at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. 

   A memorial has been established to Rock River Hospice & Home and Adeline Christian Camp.
