Obituary of Pedro Lucas

   Pedro S. Lucas, 22, of Sterling died Sunday, August 25, 2024. He was born August 12, 2002 in Sterling, the son of Carlos and Elaine R. (Lomeli) Lucas. He was a janitor at Sinnissippi Centers.

   Pedro loved spending time with his family and Kashmir very much. He especially loved riding bikes with his younger brother, Nathaniel, spending time with his brother Carlos and his neice, Violet. He loved family trips to Texas, Virginia, the beach, BBQ’s and fishing.

   Survivors include his parents, Carlos and Elaine Lucas; three brothers, Rodrigo Lucas of Rock Falls and Carlitos and Nathaniel Lucas, both of Sterling; maternal grandparents, Yvonne and Pedro Lomeli; paternal grandparents and Dolores and Rodrigo Lucas and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

   He was preceded in death by his Aunt Nereyda Lomeli.   

   A memorial has been established.

   Pedro S. Lucas, de 22 años, de Sterling, murió el domingo 25 de agosto de 2024. Nació el 12 de agosto de 2002 en Sterling, hijo de Carlos y Elaine R. (Lomeli) Lucas. Era conserje en Sinnissippi Centers.
   A Pedro le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y Kashmir. Le encantaba especialmente andar en bicicleta con su hermano menor, Nathaniel, pasar tiempo con su hermano Carlos y su sobrina, Violet. Le encantaban los viajes familiares a Texas, Virginia, la playa, las barbacoas y la pesca.
   Entre los sobrevivientes se encuentran sus padres, Carlos y Elaine Lucas; tres hermanos, Rodrigo Lucas de Rock Falls y Carlitos y Nathaniel Lucas, ambos de Sterling; abuelos maternos, Yvonne y Pedro Lomeli; abuelos paternos y Dolores y Rodrigo Lucas y varias tías, tíos, primos y amigos.

   Le precedió en la muerte su tía Nereyda Lomeli.
   Se ha establecido un monumento conmemorativo.
