SIDNEY "RON" WHITE ROCK FALLS - Sidney "Ron" White, 66, of Rock Falls, went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2011 surrounded by his family. Ron was born December 3, 1944 in Marion, to William Sidney and Edna (Dillow) White. He graduated from Milledgeville High School in 1965. Ron served in the Army from 1966 to 1968 with a tour of duty in Vietnam. Ron married Carolyn Warren on November 9, 1968. He retired from Illinois Forge, Inc. after 34 years of service. He then retired from Wal-Mart after 8 years of service. Ron is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his children, Christina (Jeff) Sugars, of Fort Madison, IA and Amy White and Brian White, of Rock Falls; his grandchildren, Sidney White and Grant and Heidi Sugars; one sister, Dorothy Jacob, of Rock Falls; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jewel Morehead and Peggy Obst; and two brothers, William and Frankie. Services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Schilling Funeral Home with Dalmus Meeks of Harvest Time Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Coloma Township Cemetery, Rock Falls. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at the Funeral Home. A memorial has been established.
