Obituary of Timothy Robert Peterson

Please share a memory of Timothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Timothy R. Peterson 34 passed away August 24, 2024, as the result of an ATV accident.
Tim was born on March 5, 1990, to his loving parents, Ron and Starr Peterson. He graduated from Hiawatha High School. After high school, Tim worked at a few jobs before landing the job he had wanted for years…Nicor Gas Company.
Tim was able to buy his first home at the age of 21. He worked hard to achieve this and was very proud of his accomplishments, as were his parents. He later sold that home to reach yet another goal…his farmette in Prophetstown Illinois. His pride and joy were his devoted dogs, Buddy and Karma. Tim loved to “live off his land” therefore he raised chickens for eggs and meat. He would trade these to friends and neighbors for venison, bear, fish, and other various meats. Tim will always be best remembered by all who knew him for his awesome sense of humor and kindness to always help everyone he could.
Those left to miss, honor, and cherish his life are his devoted parents, Ron & Star, his two dogs Buddy and Karma, his paternal grandparents Bob & Alta Hough, Chuck Peterson, and his maternal grandmother Margaret Ostrom, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Those greeting him “Home” are his maternal grandfather Dean Ostrom paternal grandmother Donna Peterson, and great-grandparents.
There will be no services per his wishes. If you would like to celebrate his life you can take a hike, enjoy a sunset, donate to an animal shelter, attend a concert, or just spread kindness.
