Obituary of Jeanne Schueler

Jeanne K. Schueler STERLING - Jeanne K. Schueler, 76, died June 25, 2013, at University of Iowa City Hospital surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was employed by Merle Norman for fifteen years as a Beauty Advisor. Jeanne was born November 26, 1936 in Erie, the daughter of Kenneth and Ellen (Stambro) Benters. She married Ronald L. Schueler on August 5, 1956 in Springfield. He preceded her in death on February 26, 1994. Jeanne loved her family and enjoyed life. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the Red Hat Society. Jeanne worked for Bergners for fifteen years as a Beauty Advisor and Manager of Cohens Furniture Store in Dixon for five years. Survivors include, daughter Lynne (Paul) Sheley of Sterling; three sons, Douglas Schueler of Sterling, Bradley (Laurie) Schueler of Sterling, Bruce (Teri) Schueler of Bloomington; ten grandchildren Jennifer (James) Walker, Danielle (Nate) Decker, Aaron Schueler, Philip Sheley, Christopher Schueler, Karl (Ashley) Schueler, Brooke Schueler, Ethan Schueler, Hannah Schueler, Charlea Schueler,; five great-grandchildren; four sisters Karen (Gene) Burwell of Lincoln, Sheila Mantei of Springfield, Margo (Robert) Kemp of Rochester, Kim (Frank) Hollinshead of Springfield. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Barry Benters. Services will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Monday July 1st at 10:30am with Pastor Daniel Behmlander officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Sunday June 30th at Schilling Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to Christ Lutheran School.
