FRANCIS L. HUSSUNG STERLING - Francis L. Hussung, 85, died at CGH on November 25, 2011. Mr. Hussung was a machinist at NWSW before his retirement. Francis L. Hussung was born May 12, 1926 in Sterling, the son of Roy and Sophia (Paget) Hussung. He married Della VanKampen on June 5, 1953 in Chadwick. Francis served in the U.S. Army under George Patton during World War II. Mr. Hussung was a lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Sterling. He is survived by his wife, Della; two sons, Dale Hussung of Dixon and Kenneth (Joyce) Hussung of Tampico; three brothers, Harold (Joan) Hussung of Minneapolis, MN, Jim (Bonnie) Hussung of Hardy, AK, and Van (Theresa) Hussung of Sterling, and one sister-in-law, Barbara Hussung. He was preceded in death by one son, Donald and one brother Ed Hussung. Funeral services will be 10 AM, Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Schilling Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Judd of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park with military rites. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to both Hospice of the Rock River Valley and Trinity United Methodist Church.
