Obituary of John Hey

JOHN E. HEY STERLING- John E. Hey, 86, of Sterling, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Sterling Pavilion. He was owner of Hey's Refrigeration, prior to retirement. John was born December 29, 1926, the son of Ira V. and Carmal (Kindle) Hey. He served in the United States Navy. He married Dolores Weigle on September 28, 1947 in Sterling at St. John's Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Dolores; one daughter, Marty (Bob) Egert of Sterling; one son, Monty Hey of Sterling; one sister, Clarice (Clair) Book of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three sons, Michael, Mark, and one son in infancy; and two brothers, Robert and Derril. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, December, 27, 2013 at Reformed Mennonite Cemetery, Sterling with the Reverend Mark Oehlert, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating.
