Alma R. (Cantu) Lilly, 63, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at her home. Alma R. Lilly was born in San Benito, TX on December 13, 1950, the daughter of Eleuterio and Helen Lerma. She married Ronald Lilly on October 12, 1996 in Sterling. Mrs. Lilly was a member of City of God in Rock Falls. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Lilly; three sons, Robert (Omega) Cantu of Sterling, Reuben Cantu of Marietta, GA, and Rene (Dr. Nellie Christ) Cantu of Elgin; one daughter Alexis Lerma; two step-sons, Terry Lilly of Biloxi, MS and Ronnie (Teresa) Lilly of Rock Falls; one step-daughter, Pam Buhlman of Rock Falls; two brothers, Arnulfo "Role" Lerma of Sterling and Reuben Lerma of Rock Falls; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with Pastor Larry Harts of City of God officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-4 PM Sunday at Schilling Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to offset medical bills due to her cancer.
