JEANETTE L. HURLEY STERLING- Jeanette L. Hurley, 87, died Friday, January 10, 2014 at her home. Jeanette was born January 2, 1927 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Elmer and Naomi (Mush) Young. She married Richard Hurley on July 23, 1956 in Sterling. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2006. Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Ann (Jim) Cumby and Mary Jane Preston, both of Rock Falls, and Jeanette Bohms of Sterling; one brother, Elmer Young of Sterling; six grandchild; sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, James; one sister, Irene Temples and three brothers, Howard, Robert and Raymond Young. She was a member of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sterling. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sterling with the Reverend Patrick Pinion, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10-10:45 AM, prior to services at the church. A memorial has been established. Arrangements were completed by the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Condolences may be sent to schillingfuneralhome.com.
