Obituary of Irene Schneider

IRENE J. SCHNEIDER STERLING- Irene J. Schneider, 89, died Sunday, January 19, 2014. She was employed at Lawrence Bros. as a laborer. Irene was born June 7, 1924 in Sterling, to Ralph and Mamie (Letcher) Schneider. Survivors include two sisters, Teresa VanDrew of Rock Falls, and Joyce (Al) Schwitters of Cedar Rapids IA; and many nieces and nephews. Irene is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Eleanor Vidal, Betty Dravis, Sandy Hambley-Miller; and one brother, George Schneider. A Memorial Service will be held at Schilling Funeral Home on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 11:30AM with Pastor Larry Hartz officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to schillingfuneralhome.com.
