Obituary of John Frey

STERLING- John M. Frey, 93, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Serenity Hospice Home, in Oregon. John owned and operated John M. Frey Co. He was born February, 8, 1921 to John K. and Lucille (McCormick) Frey, of Sterling. John served in the United States Army Air Corps. He married Harriette (Cady) Frey in February of 1942. She preceded him in death in 2011. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia (Jerry) Frey, of Sterling; two sons, John C. (Becky) Frey, of Coon Rapids, MN, and Robert A. (Cynthia) Frey, of Stillwater, MN; three sisters, Jane White, of Sterling, Janet Oltmanns, TX, and Sandra (Bill) Foreman, of Ponca City, OK; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife; his parents; two sisters, Mary Alice Frey, and Gloria Frey, and one grandson, Jay Bellini. Services will be held Saturday, March, 29, 2014 at 11AM at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with Reverend Jeff Coester, pastor of The Big Red Church, First Congregational, in Sterling, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Science Ridge Mennonite Cemetery, Sterling, following the service.
