Obituary of Larry Jones

ROCK FALLS- Larry R. Jones, 62, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at CGH Medical Center. Larry was born June 7, 1951, to Clifford and Aleen (Cox) Jones in Wood River. He served in the United States Navy, and married Pamela Wharfield on August 5, 1972 in Rock Falls. Larry worked as a machinist and then later as a Quality Control Manager. Larry liked bird watching, nature, photography, spending time with his grandkids, was an avid Cardinals fan, and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include his wife Pamela; four sons, Chris (Jenise) Jones, of Canton, Darrick Jones, of Rock Falls, Casey (Kelly) Jones, of East Peoria, and Brent Jones, of Pekin; one sister, Janice Jones, of Oregon; three brothers, David (Sue) Jones, Joe (Terri) Jones, and Kevin (Pat) Jones, all of Sterling; and five grandchildren, Haley, Alyssa, Noah, Isabell, and Katalyna Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Indian Ridge, Sterling on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 1 PM.
