Obituary of Lois Willis

ROCK FALLS- Lois E. Willis, 92, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Coventry Living Center in Sterling. Lois was born on July 11, 1921 to Charles and Bertha (Seeley) Schryver in Erie. She married Ernest Willis in September of 1947 in Athens, IL. He preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Willis was a member of Erie Christian Church. Survivors include four daughters, Shirley Pope of Tampico, Annette Willis, Rebecca Higgins of Racine, WI, and Donna Peterson of Sterling; one son, David Willis of Phoenix, AZ; 8 grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Burial will be in Lyndon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-1 PM, prior to services at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to St. Jude Hospital. Condolences may be sent to schillingfuneralhome.com.
