STERLING- Mary A. Yarbrough, 74, of Sterling, died Sunday, August 10, 2014. Mary was born on January 15, 1940 to William Henry and Lucinda (Tanner) Yarbrough in Moultrie, GA. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Quanene Kendrick, Michele Kendrick, and Sean (Marvin) Key; two sons, Gregory and Craig Kendrick, all of Sterling; six sisters, Effie McGee, of Normal, Carrie Yarbrough-Carr, of Sterling, Hazel Davis, of Long Beach, CA, Annie (Dave) McGee, of Moreno Valley, CA, Elaine (Fred) Peters, and Sharon Webb, both of Clinton, IA; eight brothers, Isaac (Earline) Mercer, and William Henry Yarbrough, Jr, both of Dixon, Robert Yarbrough, of Camden, NJ, Wesley Yarbrough, of Forrestville, MD, and Curtis (Edie) Yarbrough, of Dixon; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Jimmy Mercer, Alec Mercer, and Bernie Yarbrough. Funeral service will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 at 1PM at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with Jerry Wright of The Rock Church, in Dekalb, officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM to 1PM prior to the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery following the service. A memorial has been established.
