Obituary of Genevieve Wright

STERLING- Genevieve Mae Wright was born April 24, 1917, the daughter of Walter and Evelyn Book. She died August 24, 2014 at CGH Medical Center. She married Robert Baxter Wright, Sr. on November 22, 1941. She worked several years at National Manufacturing. Genny was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she enjoyed the Dorcas Quilting and Mary/Martha Circles. She also enjoyed playing and giving piano lessons. Genny is survived by one daughter, Karen Ruth Wright; and two sons, James Robert (Gail) Wright of Sterling, and Robert Baxter Wright, Jr., of Yorkville; six grandchildren, Anji (Dan) Garza, Joe Wright, Sarah (Rich) Sierzega, Hannah (Joe) Orosco, Rachel (Terry) Guinn, Jessica Wright; and twelve great grandchildren Mackenzie and Christian Garza, London Vancil, Layla Wright, Matthew and Andrew Sierzega, Alexia and Nathan Orosco, Jadyn, Calyn, Juliann and Kiersten Guinn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; one son, Douglas Lee; and her brother. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday August 28, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling, with Pastor Brandon Nelson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the memorial service from 9:30AM to 10:30 AM. Burial will follow the memorial service and be held at East Jordan Cemetery in Sterling.
