CLARENCE MILLERSCHOEN STERLING- Clarence Millerschoen, 90, of Sterling, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at CGH Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Clarence was born December 23, 1923 in Stockton, the son of Jacob and Magdalena (Brudi) Millerschoen. He served in the United States Army Air Force. He married Loretta Johnson on November 23, 1945 in Springfield. She preceded him in death on February 13, 1996, after celebrating fifty years of marriage. He then married Barbara Magill on August 14, 2008 in Sterling. Clarence retired from Lawrence Brothers and was a charter member of New Life Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, Allan (Paula) Millerschoen of Sterling and Brian (Ramona) Millerschoen of Sussex, WI; three special granddaughters, Monika (Jeff) Heinzelman of Sussex, WI, Brianna (John) Maas of Rock Falls and Jenny (Larry) Thome of Mt. Calvary, WI; and four blessed great-grandchildren, Jacob and Morgan Heinzelman and Carli and Sam Thome. Funeral services will be at 3:30 PM Monday, October 13, 2014 at New Life Lutheran Church, Sterling with the Reverend William Sullivan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 2:30-3:30 PM prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Funeral arrangements were completed by the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Condolences may be sent to schillingfuneralhome.com.
