Obituary of Karen Hoover

STERLING- Karen L. Hoover, 64, of Sterling, died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at CGH Medical Center. Karen was born on October 12, 1949, in Sterling, the daughter of Harold and Verda (Cassens) Penhollow. She married Jeff C. Hoover on September 7, 1985 in Sterling. Survivors include her husband, Jeff; her mother, Verda; two daughters, Kammy (Patrick) Brinkmeier, and Jennifer Hoover, both of Sterling; one son, Kevin (Lisa) Romig, of Decatur; one brother, Barry Penhollow, of Sterling; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold; and one son, Benjamin Romig. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at 11 AM at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with Reverend Jeff Coester officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the service. Burial will be held at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. A memorial has been established.
