Obituary of Evelyn Leech

MORRISON- Evelyn I. Leech, 90, of Morrison, died Monday, November 10, 2014 at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison. Evelyn was born on February 3, 1924, the daughter of Russell and Pearl (Strauss) Weller. She married Warren Leech on April 20, 1947 in Walnut. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1974. Survivors include one daughter, Melody (Lyle) Reap, of Polo; three sons, Doug (Judy) Leech, of Morrison, Jerry (Barb) Leech, of Chadwick, and Brent (Julie) Leech, of Batavia; and one sister, Beverly Berogan, of Walnut; eleven grandchildren, Michelle (John) Moshure, Troy Leech, Sean, Leech, Suzi (Mike) Mills, Trish Patterson, Shelly (Roy) Kappes, Jeffrey Leech, Kyle (Betsy) Leech, Mike (Jamie) Leech, Laura Beitler, and Bryce Leech; thirteen great-grandchildren, Tori Moshure, Tailor Seydel, Shawn Baker, Collin Sanders, Mason Mills, Sydney Mills, Carly Hinrichs, Mallory Patterson, Brooke Kappes, Blake Kappes, Blayne Kappes, Landyn Leech, and Kinsley Leech; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter in infancy, Brenda Sue Leech, one sister, Louise Weller, and one grandson, Chad Reap. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10 AM at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with Reverend Ken Renkes, Pastor of Ebhenezier Reformed Church in Morrison, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
