EVERETT E. HULSTROM STERLING- Everett E. Hulstrom, 82, died, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Sterling Pavilion. He was owner and operator of Hulstrom Floor Covering and Draperies for over thirty years and later was owner and operator of Lil-Mar by Hulstrom. Everett was born December 30, 1926 in Galva. The son of Fred E. and Hannah (Sundberg) Hulstrom. He served in the United States Army during World War II as a sergeant. He married Ila Forbes Febuary 28, 1948, he then married Bernice Cochran Cooper on March 11, 1995 in Dixon. Survivors also include his wife Bernice; one daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Young of Sterling; one son, Michael (Terri) Hulstrom of San Antonio, TX; one step-daughter, Linda (Paul) Lawyer of Rock Falls; one step-son, Gary Cooper of Rockton; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Brown and Mildred Cox and two brothers, Floyd and Clarence Hulstrom. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 28, 2009 at First Church of the Nazarene of Sterling with the Reverend Bob Hasselbring, officiating and Reverend Erik Hulstrom co-officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Friday at the church. Arrangements were completed by the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. A memorial has been established to First Church of the Nazarene of Sterling.
