Joy Reeser

STERLING- Joy V. Reeser, 68, died Monday, May 1, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center-Terrace Park, Bettendorf, IA. She was a school bus driver for many years in Sterling and Rock Falls. Joy was born, June 10, 1940 in Mammoth Springs, AR, the daughter of LeRoy and Mabel (Stephens) Gray. She married John Reeser on October 8, 1961 in Anamosa, IA. He survives. Memorial services will be held at 10 AM Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling, with the Reverend Jeff Coester, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Sterling, officiating. Visitation will be from 9-10 AM Friday at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Survivors also include one daughter, Tammy Reeser of Omaha, NE; one son, Rick (Sandy) Reeser of Sterling; five sisters, Ruth (Micky) Morfey of Savanna, Carolin (Dan) Brovold of Darien, WI, Mabel Romani of Janesville, WI, Violet (Dallas) Harris of TN and Betty Pyron of TX; five brothers, Vernon (Susan) Gray of Elkhorn, WI, Tom (Sue) Gray of Harvard, Jay W. (Darcy) Gray of Lake Geneva, WI, Virgil Gray of Burlington, WI and Bob (Sarah) Gray of Summerset, TX; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lucy Taylor. A memorial has been established to the Humane Society.
