Obituary of Sheryl Pendgraft

SHERYL A. PENDGRAFT STERLING - Sheryl A. Pendgraft, 71, died Friday, January 6, 2012 at her home after an extended illness. Sheryl was born November 23, 1940 in Sterling, the daughter of Urban and Vivian (Kitzmiller) Eakle. She married Henry "Hank" Pendgraft on October 24, 1959. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1978. She later married Bobbi Lee Clapp on September 14, 1985. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2006. Sheryl Pendgraft was CEO of Spaulding's Used Cars and Parts Inc. She formerly had been a secretary at Northwestern Steel & Wire. Sheryl was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Sterling, the National Association of Realtors, and a past member of TOPPS. She loved gardening and traveling. Survivors include two daughters, Kristen (Michael) Bauer of Sterling, and LeAnne (Steve) Olson of Rockton; one brother, Norman (Sue) Eakle of Sterling; three grand-daughters, Kaitlyn and Grace Bauer, and Samantha Olson; several nieces and nephews; and her companion, Ralph Deyo of Sterling. Services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, January 9, 2012 at Schilling Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Oehlert of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM, Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Schilling Funeral Home.
