Obituary of Nellie Deets

STERLING �" Nellie Deets, 92, of Sterling, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Pinecrest Brethren Home in Mt. Morris. Mrs. Deets was born July 25, 1916 in Sterling, the daughter of Charles and Addie (Olds) Grimes. She married Mason J. Deets on March 19, 1938 in Sterling. Survivors include her husband, Mason; a daughter, Beverly (Robert) Peterson, of Byron; two sons, James Deets, of Burlington, IA, and William (Cheryl) Deets, of Brookfield; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John Deets, a sister, Harriett Itnyre, and a brother, Charles Grimes. Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 13, 2009 at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 P.M., Sunday, July 12, 2009 and 9:30-10:30 A.M., Monday, July 13, 2009at the Funeral Home. A memorial has been established.
