Obituary of Catherine Puterbaugh

CATHERINE A. PUTERBAUGH STERLING �" Catherine A. Puterbaugh, 100, of Sterling, died Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Coventry Living Center. She was the secretary at Washington School for many years. Catherine was born on November 2, 1908, in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of John and Florence (Gatilius) Womer. She married William H. Puterbaugh on December 31, 1928 in Rockford. He preceded her in death in 1958. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Sterling. Survivors included one daughter, Jane Knicki, of Delran,New Jersey; two sons, Roger (Barbara) Puterbaugh, of Oconomowoc, WI, and William H. Puterbaugh, of Campobello, SC; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was prededed in death by one son Donald Puterbaugh. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Nancy Weingartner of Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Lanark Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home, prior to services. A memorial has been established to Wesley United Methodist Church
