Obituary of Janet Gould

ROCK FALLS �" Mrs. Janet J. Gould, 86, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at CGH Medical Center after a short illness. Janet J. Gould was born April 11, 1923 in Rochelle, the daughter of Clarence and Nettie Mowry Cross. She married Donald F. Gould in Kahoka, MO on April 23, 1941. Mrs. Gould was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sterling. She is survived by her husband, Donald; one daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Schwenk of Rock Falls; five sons, Donald (Lois) Gould, Jr. of Sterling, Robert Gould and James (Mary) Gould both of Amboy, Mark (Susan) Gould of Rock Falls, and Paul (Susan) Gould of Sterling; one sister, Nancy Cross of Chandler, AZ; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, Nov 21, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Sterling with church pastor Reverend Paul Judd officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Friday evening at Schilling Funeral Home.
