Obituary of Ann Wiker

Ann Wiker, 87, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at CGH Medical Center. She was a clerk at Weinstine's Vogue for many years. Ann was born April 5, 1924 in Freeport, the daughter of Nicholas and Lucy (Taosanis) Kortes. She married Charles E. Wiker on May 21, 1950 in Freeport. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Sterling. Survivors include her husband, Charles; three daughters, Linda (David) Kavran and Gloria Rodriguez, both of Sterling and Judy Rajnowski of Ukiah, CA; one sister, Violet Konstant of Winnebago; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Bowers and Irene Noorman and one brother, Chris Kortes. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Sterling with the Reverend Nancy Weingartner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, prior to services at the church. A memorial has been established.
