ALBERT T. BRUSHABER ROCK FALLS- Albert T. Brushaber, 74, died, Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at CGH Medical Center. He was employed as a foreman at the former Northwestern Steel & Wire Company for twenty-five years, prior to retirement. Albert was born January 10, 1936 in Toledo, OH, the son of Theodore Albert and Esther (Dobson) Brushaber. He served in the United States Air Force. He married Betty Storlien. She preceded him in death on October 25, 1979. He then married Peggy Horner Hammelman on January 1, 1982 in Las Vegas, NV. Survivors include his wife, Peggy; four daughters, Lea Ann Brushaber of Sterling, Darla (Thomas) Mullen of Apple Valley, CA, Pam (Dan) Ehredt and Rhonda (Roger) Tepen, both of Rock Falls; three sons, Rick Brushaber and Randy Hammelman, both of Rock Falls and John (Paula) Hammelman of Kenai, Alaska; two brothers, David (Dee) Brushaber of Trenton, MI and Don (Doris) Brushaber of MS; two sister-in-laws, Brenda Brushaber of Pascagoula, MS and Judy Brushaber of MS; sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Esther Brushaber and two brothers, Robert and William Brushaber. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling, with Dalmus Meeks, pastor of Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls, officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM, prior to services, at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial has been established.
