WAYNE A. EDEUS WINTER, WI - Wayne A. Edeus, 72, formerly of Sterling, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Rusk County Memorial Hospital in Ladysmith, WI. He was employed as a Conservation Police Officer for the State of Illinois for 26 years before he retired. Wayne was born November 2, 1937 in Sterling, the son of Fred and Fern (Miner) Edeus. He married Carol Swartley Brown on June 23, 1973 in Sterling. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2002. Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Vasquez, of San Antonio, TX, and Karen Davis, of Wheaton; four sons, Terry (Sue) Edeus, of Kalamazoo, MI, Doug (Mari) Brown, of Sterling, Dan (Teresa) Brown, of Lena, and David (Pearl) Brown, of Rock Falls; one sister, JoAnn Latta, of Rock Falls; one brother, Ron (Ardyce) Edeus, of Rock Falls; and nineteen grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his adoptive mother, Lois Edeus. Services will be held at 9:30 AM, Friday, July 16, 2010 at Schilling Funeral Home with Reverend Judith Huseth of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Funeral Home. A memorial has been established.
