Obituary THE DAILY GAZETTE - ROCKFORD REGISTER STAR COMPLETE OBITUARY-Please call w/charges WSDR WLLT WIXN Earlena K. Barge ROCKFORD- Mrs. Earlena K. Barge, 95, formerly of Sterling, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at her home in Rockford. Earlena K. Barge was born June 25, 1915 in Sterling, the daughter of French and Almeda Miller Kosier. She married Frank E. Barge on June 6, 1947 in Sterling. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1988. Mrs. Barge was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sterling. She enjoyed time with her family, cooking, and playing cards and games. A special thank you to all the staff at Heartland Hospice, especially Steve & Diane, and her caregiver Oyuntuya Serdamba. Earlena Barge is survived by her son, Michael (Cindy) Barge of Rockford; two grand-daughters, Emily Barge and Katie (Chad) Michels; one brother-in-law, Glenn Hoffman of Sterling; three sister-in-laws, Helen Kosier and Lennie Kosier both of Sterling, and Selma Kosier of Hanover Park; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Tuesday November 30, 2010 at the Schilling Funeral Home with Reverend John Kermott of the First Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM prior to the funeral at 2 PM. Burial will be at Science Ridge Mennonite Cemetery in Sterling. A memorial has been established to Heartland Hospice in Rockford.
