Obituary of Richard Westbo

RICHARD A. WESTBO, JR. STERLING - Rick A. Westbo, Jr., 53, died Monday, November 29, 2010 at CGH Medical Center after an extended illness. Rick was born December 6, 1956 in Sterling, the son of Richard A. and Carol (Bellars) Westbo. Rick graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1975. He worked at Whiteside County Highway Department and Menards prior to his death. He enjoyed bowling and showing his 1972 Monte Carlo at area car shows. Survivors include two sons, Michael and Eric Westbo, both of Sterling; special friend, Sandy Westbo; two sisters, Julie and Dawn; and one brother, Mark (Andy) Westbo. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 3, 2010 at Schilling Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Oehlert of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 4:30-7 PM, Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Funeral Home.
