Obituary of Jean Arthurs

JEAN ARTHURS STERLING - Jean Arthurs, 78, of Sterling, died Friday, January 14, 2011 at Four Seasons Living Center in Morrison. She was employed as a bookkeeper for 1st National Bank for many years. Jean was born June 5, 1932 in Dixon, the daughter of James Robert and Hazel Rebecca (Hunter) Torrance. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Survivors include four daughters, Barbara (Bryan) McBee, of Huntsville, AL, Pamela (BJ) Fenwick, of Sterling, Peggy (Jeff) Harrington, of Rock Falls, and Kathy Miller, of Seward, NE; two sons, Craig Arthurs and David (Cami) Arthurs, of Lyndon; one sister, Darlene Waldschmidt, of Rock Falls; twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother in infancy, Harry Torrance. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Monday, January 17, 2011 at the Schilling Funeral Home.
