Obituary of Kenneth Chubb

Kenneth Chubb, 87, died Tuesday February 1, 2011 at CGH Medical Center. He was a foreman at the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Company, prior to retirement and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling. Mr. Chubb was born January 17, 1924 in Jersey Shore PA, the son of LeRoy and Hazel (McCalister) Chubb. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He married Miriam Wiederanders on September 2, 1947 in Toledo OH. Survivors include his wife Miriam; a son, Jeffrey (Jane) Chubb of Morris; and a daughter Noreen (Verges) Aageson of Gildford MT; and one sister Pauline Thoma of Bethlehem PA; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Kenneth was preceded in death by one brother Dale Chubb; and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, February 7, 2011 with the Reverend Judi Huseth, pastor, of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling, with military honors. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM, prior to services at the church. A memorial has been established.
