Obituary of Dale Scudder

DALE SCUDDER ROCK FALLS - Dale Scudder, 68, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at his residence. He was employed in Finance for Stanley National Manufacturing Company, Rock Falls. Dale was born January 12, 1943 in Hoxie, AR, the son of George and Lois (Oldham) Scudder. He served in the United States Navy. He married Shirley M. Dahlquist on December 23, 1966 in Tampico Survivors include his wife, Shirley M. Scudder; four sons, Timothy (Heather) Scudder of Brighton, CO, Jason (Staci) Scudder of Pecatonica, Brandon (Karen) Scudder of Lexington, MI and Jared (Denise Fleegal) Scudder; two sisters, Sue Burgett of Rock Falls and Frieda (Ron) Drane; two brothers, Carroll (Sherry) Scudder of Indian Wells, CA and Terry (Judy) Scudder of Lakewood CA; two step-sisters, Martha (Gene) Hillison of Dixon and Shirley (Melvin) Hiser of Fisher; three step-brothers, David (Bonnie) Sigel, Dale (Johnnie) Sigel and John (Gail) Sigel all of Rock Falls; one step-sister-in-law, Pat Sigel of Tampico and twelve grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two step-brothers, Barlow Sigel and Harry Sigel, step-mother, Louise (Plock) Scudder. Dale's body was donated to science at his request. Memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Faith Baptist Church, Sterling. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to schillingfuneralhome.com.
