STERLING- Marvin H. Waters, 93, died Saturday July 9, 2011 at Coventry Living Center in Sterling. Marvin was born October 14, 1917 in Malvern, the son of Charles D. and Mable E. (Hoagland) Waters. He married Iva Hamaker on January 15, 1938 in Sterling. She preceded him in death in January 1991. He then married Annie Woodson on September 27, 1996 in Sterling. Marvin was a member of Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls. Survivors include his wife, Annie; three daughters, Patricia L. Adney, of Marion, IA, Shirley L. McCowan and Janet R. Niles, both of Wagner, OK; two sons, Leland L. (Cindie) Waters, of Morrison, and Glen L. Waters, of Bradford; one sister, Ethel (Garland) Kimbrell of Aiken, SC; brother-in-law, Milton Schuchard of Dixon; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a one sister, Fern Schuchard, three brothers, Clifford, Everett and Earl Waters, and two sons-in-law, John Adney, Vernal McCowan. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with Dalmus Meeks, of Harvest Time Bible Church, officiating. Burial is at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Friday, July 15, 2011, at the Funeral Home. A memorial has been established.
