Audrey M. Granzow Sterling - Audrey M. Granzow, 84, died Monday, August 22, 2011 at Avonlea Cottages. Audrey was born December 15, 1926 in Sterling, the daughter of Ernest and Marie (Kophammer) Cassens. She married Kurt H. Granzow on April 27, 1947 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Sterling. Audrey was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary Post 296. Survivors include three sons, David Granzow, of Tok, AK, Mark Granzow, of Ft. Myers, FL, and Tim (Ronda) Granzow, of Sterling; two brothers, Walter Cassens, of Sterling, and Orville Cassens, Prairie Du Chien, WI; four grandchildren, Stacy (Mark) Wolfmeyer, of Washington, IL, Melinda Ryba, of Chicago, Kelly Granzow and Amber Granzow, both of Sterling; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Andrew Wolfmeyer, Lauren Marie Wolfmeyer, Rachel Anne Wolfmeyer; and special friends, Dick (Dawn) Ryba, of Sterling. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Schilling Funeral Home with Reverend Leo Patterson of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Schilling Funeral Home. A memorial has been established.
