BERTHA CAROLINE COX MARSEILLES - Bertha Caroline Cox, 85, formerly of Rock Falls, died Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru. Bertha was born November 14, 1925 in Mt. Sterling, WI, the daughter of Eric and Julia (Grimsled) Frislid. She married Verlyn Cox on November 17, 1948 in DeSoto, WI. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2007. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Harvest Time Bible Church, both in Rock Falls. Survivors include two daughters, Debra (Bruce) Harmon, of Marseilles, and Vickie (Eloy) Martinez, of League City, TX; two sons, Jan (Tanya) Cox and Jason Cox, both of Rock Falls; twenty-four grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Posternack; and one son, Bruce Cox. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Harvest Time Bible Church with Dalmus Meeks, officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Schilling Funeral Home. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to www.schillingfuneralhome.com.
