Eileen E. Mills Sterling - Eileen "Grandma" E. Mills, 93, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Avonlea Cottages. Eileen was born September 4, 1918 in Orchardville, the daughter of Jack and Leta (Vest) Holleman. She married Emmit Mills on May 18, 1935. He preceded her in death in October, 1974. Survivors include one daughter, Karlyn Stewart (David Lesniewski), of Rockford; One brother Ellis Holleman of Jerseyville; six grandchildren, Douglas (Lisa) Stewart, Kelli Rodriguez, Alisa King, Kurt Stewart, Susan (Mike) Schutt and Matthew (Melissa) Mills; eleven great-grandchildren, Jake (Jennifer) Rodriguez, Dustin Rodriguez, Emily King, Ian Mills, Cecily Stewart, Clint Fritsch, Luke Schutt, Dalton King, Alex Schultz, Cody King and Addison Mills; and one great-great-grandchild, Mason Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by one son, Owen Mills; one sister, Phyllis Henne; two brothers, Earl and Art Holleman; one grandchild, Bart Stewart; and one great-grandchild, Joshua VanPatter. Services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, March 23, 2012 at Schilling Funeral Home with Joe Puckett Jr. of Church of Christ, officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm, Friday, prior to services, at the Funeral Home, with private burial. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to www.schillingfuneralhome.com.
