MARIAN WASHBURN ROMEOVILLE - Marian Washburn, 91, formerly of Sterling, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at her residence. She was employed as a Secretary for Anderson Insurance Company, prior to retirement. Marian was born September 25, 1920 in Fulton, the daughter of Render and Martha (Koenes) Aggen. She married George F. Washburn on September 25, 1960 in First Presbyterian Church, Sterling. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2004. Marian was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Sterling. Survivors one son, Terry (Joy) McCombs of Bloomington, IL; one brother, Richard (Judy) Aggen of Sterling and two grandchildren, Jennifer McCombs and Kelly (Chris) Drevalas and two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Taylor Drevalas. She was preceded in death by one sister, Genevive Naftzger, and two, brothers, John and Ted Aggen. Services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, April 5, 2012, at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling with Reverend Christina Berry, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday, at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the First Presbyterian Church of Sterling.
