Obituary of Sandra Hambley-Miller

SANDRA HAMBLEY-MILLER STERLING - Sandra Hambley-Miller, 66, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at her home. Sandra was born September 28, 1945 in Sterling, the daughter of Wilbur and Mamie (Letcher) Adams. Sandra was an avid Bingo player and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Connie Polhill and Toniette Hambley, both of Sterling, and Arnette Ross, of Rock Falls; four sisters, Joyce (Al) Schwitter, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Eleanor Vidal, of Wheatridge, CO, Irene Schneider, of Sterling, and Teresa VanDrew, of Rock Falls; twenty grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and special friend, Ted Hambley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Mamie Adams; two daughters, Tina Fischbach and Lesa Miller; one sister, Betty Dravis; one brother, George Schneider; one granddaughter, Desiree; and one grandson, Justin. Services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Harts of City of God in Sterling, officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Wednesday, April 11, 2012 and 10-11 AM, Thursday, prior to services, at the Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded A memorial has been established.
