Obituary of Evelyn Woodin

EVELYN S. WOODIN Mt. Morris-Evelyn S. Woodin, 85, of Milledgeville, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Pinecrest Terrace, Mt. Morris. Evelyn was born on December 26, 1929 in Sterling, the daughter of Samuel and Lena (Weaver) Moore. She married Raymond Woodin on September 27, 1950 in Sterling, he preceded her in death, on September 18, 2005. Evelyn was a homemaker, and also worked with her husband in their tax preparation business, prior to retirement. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays, and preparing delicious holiday feasts for her family. Evelyn loved spending time with her grandchildren, and collecting Longaberger baskets. Survivors include one daughter, Debra (Bob) Morgan of Dixon; two sons, Jay (Lynn) Woodin of Milledgeville and Ty (Janel) Woodin of Morton; one brother, Wayne (Hope) Moore of Sterling; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Woodin of Polo, Charlotte Woodin of Milledgeville and Donna Woodin of Pekin; nine grandchildren, Kelsey (Chad) Selman, Clint (Holly) Davis, Alyssa (Joel) Pritchett, Brett (Jean) Woodin, Brooke (Kurt) Woodinmiller, Brittany Woodin, Nicholas Woodin, Carly Woodin and Chloe Woodin; 6 step-grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, Jordan Selman, Treyton Selman, Breanna Davis and Genevieve Sweeney; 11 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 sisters, Marge Blackburn and Janet Diffenbaugh; 2 brothers, Loren Maas and Gene Moore. Funeral services for Evelyn will be on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, Sterling. Visitation will be on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at the Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, Sterling. Burial will take place at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, following the funeral services.
