Obituary of Marion B. Middleton

MARION B. “PETE” MIDDLETON STERLING-Marion B. “Pete” Middleton, 86, of Sterling, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at his residence. He was a supervisor at the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Company. Marion was born April 8, 1929 in Iuka, the son of Henry and Eva (Bayles) Middleton. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Alice Drane on January 17, 1954 in Sterling. Survivors include his wife Alice of Sterling and one brother, Jerry (Vicky) Middleton of Flora; one niece; one great nephew and one great niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother Jack Middleton. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling with Wesley Dickson, pastor, of Wesley United Methodist Church, Sterling, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling with military rites. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
