Obituary of Effie M Hunsberger

Effie M. Hunsberger, 85, died, Friday, June 2, 2017 at Rockford Memorial Hospital.

She was employed at Haskell’s in Sterling, for many years.

    Effie was born January 1, 1932 in Keenes, the daughter of Jesse and Mettie (Drew) Keen. She married Floyd Hunsberger on June 16, 1950 in Dekalb. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2010.    

    Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Kamholz of Slinger, WI, Susan Parker of Sterling; one son, Brad (Diane) Hunsberger of Dixon; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    She was also preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Robert Kamholz; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Fred, Clyde and Burl Keen; two sisters Hattie Davis, and Gladys Ziebarth.

    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Broadway United Methodist Church, Sterling with Reverend Brad Wilson, pastor officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 AM, Saturday, prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park.

    A memorial has been established to Broadway United Methodist Church, Sterling.

    Arrangements were completed by the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling.
