Obituary of Velma A Kindle

Velma Arlene Ricklefs Kindle, 97, died July 22, 2017.  She was retired from the State of Illinois Department of Human Services.

Velma was born October 8, 1919 in Sterling to Fredrick and Anna (Myer) Ricklefs.

Survivors include one son Jack (Judy) Kindle of Chester, SC and three grandchildren, Jeffrey and David Kindle and Teri Hurtado; six great-grand-children and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter Sandra June Kindle; one brother, Edgar Ricklefts and three sisters, Edna and Evelyn Johnson and Louise McDearmon.

Mrs. Kindle was retired from the State of Illinois Department of Human Services.

Graveside services will be at 12 Noon Monday, July 31, 2017 at Oak Knoll Memorial Park with the Reverend Bree Truax, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rock Falls. Visitation will be from 10-11:30 AM, Monday at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling, prior to burial.  Funeral services were also held in South Carolina.

Arrangements were completed by Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling and Pollard Funeral Home, Chester, SC.

A memorial has been established.
