STERLING- Miriam Chubb,  93, of Sterling, died, Wednesday, October 18 2017 at Morningside of Sterling.

    Miriam was born December 29, 1923 in Lamoille, the daughter of Carl and Minna (Beyer) Wiederanders. She married Kenneth Chubb on September 2, 1947 in Toledo, OH. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2011. Miriam was a 1946 graduate of the University of Toledo, and received her masters in social work from the University of Illinois in 1981.  She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sterling.

    Survivors include, one daughter, Noreen (Verges) Aageson of Gildford, MT; one son, Jeff (Jane) Chubb of Morris; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

    She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister Eleanor Gess; two brothers Roland Wiederanders, and Carl Wiederanders.

    Funeral services will be 11AM on Tuesday October 24, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sterling with Reverend Brandon Nelson,  officiating. Visitation will be from 10AM - 11AM one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.

    A memorial has been established to the Lutheran Disaster  Response, and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling.
