Obituary of Muriel Clark Peterson

MURIEL CLARK PETERSON

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY-Muriel Clark Peterson, 93, formerly of Sterling, died Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Harden County Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY. She was a teacher for Sterling Public Schools Unit 5, for many years, prior to retirement.

    Muriel was born August 16, 1924 in Haverhill, Massachusetts the daughter of Howard and Evelyn (Martin) Clark. She married Orin Peterson on August 23, 1946. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2013.  She was a graduate of the University of Washington.

    Survivors include two sons, Tim (Karen-Scharre) Peterson of Elizabethtown, KY and Brian Peterson of West Des Moines, IA; five grandchildren, Lindsey Peterson, Jamie Wescott, Jessica Fowler, Katie Peterson and Suzanne Peterson and eight great-grandchildren, Colton, Carson, Emma, Gracie, Abbie, Allie, Annie and Josi.

    Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at New Life Lutheran Church, Sterling with the Reverend William Sullivan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM Saturday, prior to services at the church.

    A memorial has been established.
