Obituary of Mindy L Smith

STERLING-Mindy L. Smith, 59, of Sterling, died Saturday April 28, 2018 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She worked at National Hardware for 20 years, and once they were bought out she continued to work for Spectrum Brands as a sales coordinator.

  Mindy was born October 30, 1958, the daughter of Charles J. and Beverly (Sitter) Smith.  

  Survivors include two daughters Kimberlyn Smith of Sterling, and Shaleigh (Drew Daniels) Smith of Dixon; one brother Ricky Smith of Dixon; and one granddaughter Kainzly Brown of Morrison.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, two nieces Kerri Smith, and Kimberly Smith.

  Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday May 3, 2018 at First Christian Church in Sterling, with the Reverend Tanya Tyler, officiating. Burial and graveside services are at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling following the funeral. Visitation is from 9AM-11:30AM prior to the funeral.

  In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.

  Arrangements were completed by the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling.
