Obituary of Maria C. Lopez

    Maria C. Lopez, 71, of Oak Park, formerly of Sterling, died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at her home.

    Maria was born August 16, 1946 in DuQuoin, IL. The daughter of George and Grace (Muir) Churoff.

    Survivors include four children, Charmayne LeBlanc of Algonquin, Theresa LeBlanc, James LeBlanc and Michelle (Stacy) Montgomery, all of Indianapolis, IN; and Paul Smith, her life partner.

    She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sharon (Walter) Hogabrooke.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling with Evelena and Anjuray Sanders (Angie Howzie), officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM, prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling.

     A memorial has been established.
