DOROTHY STRALOW STERLING - Dorothy Stralow, 92, died Monday, July 9, 2012 at CGH Medical Center. Dorothy was born April 16, 1920 in Morrison, the daughter of Amos and Gertrude (Bates) Burkholder. She married Harold Stralow on October 9, 1937 in Clinton, IA. He preceded her in death in 1988. Dorothy was a member of Coleta United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Janie (Dan) Saunders, of Monticello, IA; one son, Kent (Marilyn) Stralow, of Morrison; one daughter-in-law, Linda Stralow; one brother, Russell Burkholder, of Rock Falls; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Harold "David" Stralow; two brothers, Donald and Carl Burkholder; and two grandsons. Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor David Jungnickel, of Coleta United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at the South Clyde Cemetery, Morrison. Visitation will be from 9-10 AM, Wednesday, prior to services, at the Funeral Home. A memorial has been established.
