Obituary of June C. Shaw

STERLING-June C. Shaw, 96, left this world to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 24, 2018. She was a homemaker and a God Send to all her family. She had a profound gift of love for all of us.

   June was born on June 16, 1922 in Sterling to Gertrude and David L. Gebhardt. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Sterling. She received her education at St. Mary grade school and Community Catholic High School. She worked for Lawrence Hardware for a number of years. She met Robert L. Shaw and they were married March 11, 1941. He passed away in November of 1997.

   June is survived by one son, Steven (Sue) Shaw; of Denver, CO; three daughters, Patricia J.(Lyle)  Freas of Rock Falls, Christie (Larry) Jennings of Sterling and Lori (Rick) Aylard of Gilroy, CA; twenty-seven grandchildren.

   At her request there will be no visitation. There will be a private burial at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling for family to attend.

   A memorial had been established.

   Arrangements were completed by the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling.
