Obituary of Eleanor M Koch

Eleanor M. Koch, 92, formerly of Polo, died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Rock River Hospice and Home.

    Eleanor was born July 4, 1926 in Polo, the daughter of Walter and Emma (Scholl) Hummel.  She married Elwood H. Koch on May 7, 1950 at East Jordan Church, Sterling. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2016.

    Survivors include two daughters, Joni (Paul) Turner of Pendleton, IN  and Jennifer Koch of Dixon; two sons, Jonathan (Barbara) Koch of Dixon and Jeff (Kathy) Koch of Chatham; one twin sister, Elaine Haak of Polo and seven grandchildren, Allison Koch, Lindsey Koch, Jordan Turner, Sarah (Bryan) Helleso, Rachel Turner, Dayton Geesey and Daytona Geesey.

    She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Geraldine (Richard) Ebersole, Bernice (Elmer) Lapp, one brother-in-law Melvin Haak, and two twin sisters in infancy.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, October 29, 2018 at East Jordan Church with Reverend James Miller, pastor officiating. Burial will be at East Jordan Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM Sunday October 28, 2018 at East Jordan Church, and from 10-11 AM, prior to services at the church.

    A memorial has been established to East Jordan Church and Rock River Hospice and Home.
