Obituary of Stella Duenow

STERLING - Stella (Baker) Duenow, 84, of Sterling, died, Monday, November 19, 2018 at Regency Care of Sterling.

Stella was born on May 11, 1934 in Rock Falls, the daughter of Irving Baker Jr and Julia (Holcomb) Baker.  She married Melvin Paul Duenow on February 20, 1955 and later divorced.

Survivors include two daughters, Luella Duenow-Scholl of Mason City, IA and Marcella  Kestner of Bristol, VA; one son-in-law, Samuel Kestner of Damascus, VA; one brother, Richard Baker; one half sister, Rosella Bell; three grandchildren, Bruce Wayne Kestner, Samuel Glen Kestner, and Naomi Cora Lee (Kestner) Arnold; one step grandchild, Eric Scholl; one step great grandson; one step great granddaughter, and four great grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Paul Duenow; one son, Lester Lewis Baker; one son-in-law, Alan Raymond Scholl; six brothers, Charles Baker, Martin Worker, Stephen Baker, Irving Baker, Steven Schick, and William Frances Deleary; one half brother, Samuel Bell; and four sisters, Bertha Baker, Elberta Baker, Julia Baker, and Daisy Baker.

There will be no services at this time.
